The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP) is a Federal Government funded project with the aim of promoting Australian music. One of the ways it does this is through the AirIt music catalogue and distribution service for community radio. AirIt features new Australian music from both unsigned and established artists and makes their tracks available for digital download or in CD format for use in community radio stations and programs.
Personally I have found this an extremely valuable music resource for use on my program on TYGA FM, the Sunday Smorgasbord. Music is made available through AirIt on a regular basis so broadcasters can update their music libraries frequently. The genres are diverse and the information provided about each artist is comprehensive. I would highly recommend the service to any community radio station, broadcaster, presenter or producer.
